"The attentive observer searches in vain for suitable associations. Simply described by the artist as a deformed circle, the compact object may be reminiscent of an old-fashioned telephone or a stylish handbag, but its unsettling design language remains rather non-representional and abstract. The visual material impression of the fragile surface oscillates between rocky roughness and plush softness. The small bicycle, playfully applied like a design label, completely eludes meaningful classification and, precisely for this reason, opens up the narrative of the object to free interpretation by the viewer."
